  I think it may just be a loose patch cable.

                    Have you ever had a service call begin like this? As technicians in the world of technology, I believe we all have. How do I even begin to start trouble shooting? That is the first question you may ask yourself. With the right tools and a lot of patience a room like this can easily be brought back from the brink of disaster.

      <title> Fiber Optic Fusion Splicing</title>

  Fusion splicing finally affordable with desktop fusion splicers.

    &lt;!--StartFragment--&gt; Finally, handheld fusion splicers have become so
affordable that even small installation companies can
equip their crews with these devices. This is allowing companies of all sizes to maximize the efficiency of their fiber optic cabling network.

                    &#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

    Fusion splicing is the process in which we can fuse or weld two optical fibers end to end using a machine which precisely align the two glass fibers and then weld the ends together generally by an electric arc or laser. Fusion splicing provides minimum reflectance and loss and the join it produces is most reliable and strongest. The required goal needs to be achieved in such a way that the light passing through the fiber is not reflected back or scattered and also the region surrounding the fiber is as strong as virgin fiber itself.
